Uterine Health Alliance (UHA) is a Scotland-based digital health social enterprise transforming how women and girls understand, manage and advocate for their uterine and ovarian health. Founded in 2025 by Barinemeka Vanessa Gbarale after her eight-year battle with fibroids and ovarian cysts and endometriosis, UHA was built from lived experience to confront one of the most neglected crises in women’s health. We serve women aged 13-55 living with fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and related conditions, combining artificial intelligence, clinical expertise and community-driven insight to accelerate diagnosis, improve care pathways, and turn isolation into empowerment.

Despite their scale, these conditions remain among the most underdiagnosed, underfunded and misunderstood in modern medicine. In the UK, over 580,000 women are currently waiting for gynaecological treatment, with many facing delays of 12 to 18 months. Globally, about 500 million women live with fibroid and 190 million with endometriosis, yet most wait 7–10 years for a proper diagnosis, evidence of a deficit in healthcare system that shifts priority from these conditions even though they require urgent attention.
